Meet Pesto, a resilient 4-year-old male dog currently in a loving foster home in Belgium. Despite his challenges, Pesto is a true warrior, battling epilepsy with courage and strength.
Health Condition: Pesto has epilepsy and requires Phenobarbital every 12 hours to manage his condition. His epileptic episodes are infrequent (about once a year) and he also takes stomach protector and kidney support pills. Even on days when he has seizures, Pesto remains strong enough to enjoy walks and treats.
Personality: Pesto is a low-energy dog who enjoys regular walks and chilling at home. He is also up for longer walks if offered. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, loves people, and is a total snuggle bug.
Ideal Home: We are hoping to find a forever family for Pesto in a quiet neighborhood, preferably with experience in caring for an epileptic human or dog. While not required, candidates should evaluate their financial ability to provide Pesto with his medication and veterinary care. Patience and love are essential, as Pesto's condition is part of who he is, but it does not change the fact that he is the most loving, normal dog.
